Hotel Development and Performance Picks up in Ohio; U.S. Hotel Appraisals Opens Hotel Consulting and Valuation Office in Columbus
New office brings renowned appraisal expertise to limited- and select-service hotels throughout Ohio.
Columbus, Ohio, February 22, 2011: Ohio’s hotel market is being revitalized, with proposed projects underway in key markets across the state and occupancy growth setting the stage for a rise in average rate. To aid hoteliers, developers, and lenders with consulting and valuation expertise, U.S. Hotel Appraisals has opened a regional office in Columbus. The Ohio office will also collaborate with other U.S. Hotel Appraisals offices nationwide to conduct portfolio assignments.
“Columbus is a keystone not only of Ohio but of the Midwest,” said U.S. Hotel Appraisals’ Managing Partner Russ Rivard. “The new convention headquarters hotel, which just broke ground, should encourage new levels of meeting and group business, and other proposed hotels are in the planning stages. Our regional office in Columbus gives hotel stakeholders across Ohio the most authoritative, cost-effective resource available for appraisals, feasibility studies, and market studies for limited- and select-service hotels.”
Managing Director Stacey Nadolny’s experience in hotel markets throughout Ohio spans the thriving period before the recent recession, the down years that followed, and the present rejuvenation of the industry. A native of Northwest Ohio, Stacey earned her bachelor's degree from Cornell University’s famed School of Hotel Administration and acquired front-line experience at the Hotel Statler in Ithaca and Hillstone Restaurant Group in Chicago. A professional consultant with U.S. Hotel Appraisals since 2007, Stacey has conducted or supervised more than 250 appraisal and consulting assignments for major hotel brands, investors, and independent owners.
“We’re seeing travel and hotel performance picking up in Ohio,” said Stacey, “and hotel transactions, refinancing needs, and investments for new builds are bound to follow.
