Dallas/Fort Worth, February 1, 2010: U.S. Hotel Appraisals announced the promotion of Russ Rivard to Managing Partner. Russ will continue to oversee the quality of the firm’s appraisal and consulting services and the professional development of appraisal staff. In his new role he will also be responsible for new client-focused initiatives and the generation of a new-and-improved report format, which is set to launch later this year.
“2009 generated a disproportionate amount of appraisal activity for the limited- and select-service sectors of the U.S. hotel industry,” said Russ. “While upscale and luxury hotels were hit hard by the recession, hotels in the economy and mid-scale asset classes proved more resilient. As these hoteliers need financing for renovations and acquisitions, we remain dedicated to providing them with an accurate value and expert advice on their hotel investments.”
Russ has been instrumental in the development and success of U.S. Hotel Appraisals from the beginning, bringing an exceptional level of client service and dedication to the firm. He earned his Master of Science degree in the field Operational Management from the University of Arkansas and has frontline hotel experience in rooms division management. Russ is a state certified appraiser, has completed over 200 hours of specialized appraisal classes, and has consulted on hundreds of hotels. He is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute.
